Summary
The Municipality of Tisno from Croatia and the Municipality of San Venanzo from Italy became twin towns in 2017 while with Muncipality of Bienvenida from Spain and Nagycenk from Hungary we have excellent realtionships since we all are part of the European Charter of Rural Communities since 2013 when Croatia entered the EU. With Bienvenida we established partnership for future projects. The achievements of this project are definitely strenghtening of the connections between four municipalities, sharing our tradition and customs by sharing our cultural heritage. We aimed for increasing the number of youngsters participating in public life and creating social changes. After the project, we might say that we had success, because now we have even new youngsters willing to participate which is indicating the project was successful. During the project we discussed a lot about involving youngsters in public life and the exchange of good practice between the partners was very valuable since everyone learned new ways how to involve them more. The participants shared their experience in various activity fields, discussed the topic of european programs, fostered European identity through cooperation, learned how to encourage people to be a volunteer and debated on the past and future of EuropeThe project result was actually another small project about involving youngsters in public life whixh was selected after the small competition between the participants. The winning project is named Sounds of the Cultural Heritage and includes youngs people in organising cultural activity in some venue completly ignored by local goverment to remind them about great opportunities that place can offer and eventualy renew it.There were 20 participants from each partner town, plus the local 40 in total 100, but occasionally the number of direct participants was more then 200.
