Summary

The Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica is a university-type art school. Its accredited study programs cover fields of music art, fine art, dramatic and film art. The main strategic objectives of the university include support and development of cooperation with foreign educational and cultural institutions. International cooperation is being developed through activities that are part of the Erasmus+ projects. One of the successful projects between 2015 and 2017 was a project under the key action KA103 - Learning Mobility of Individuals.
The objectives of the project have been set in accordance with the objectives of the foreign strategy of the Academy of Arts. The project promoted mutual mobility between the Academy of Arts and European higher education institutions and companies. The content of the individual mobilities stimulated participants to activities that were positively reflected in their professional advancement. They helped the students develop their professional, social and communication skills, strengthened their sense of belonging to a particular community and also contributed to their greater professional self-confidence. The mobility participants have the opportunity to compare their own artistic skills, learn different pedagogical methods and forms of interpretation, gain a wider view of the interpretation of art. Students benefited in particular from the fact that their artistic skills, academic knowledge and talents could be developed and presented at the international level. An integral part of the project was the strengthening of language competencies.
Staff Mobility at the Academy of Art Academy has helped to support the maintenance and enhancement of teaching and organizational practices at an internationally acceptable level. In the process of activities, the project directly supported the exchange of know-how in the field of artistic research and the innovation of organizational methods. At the same time, the phenomenon of labor mobility among institutions has been promoted.
The feedback from the mobility Participants was positive, so we can say that the project Erasmus+ 2015-2017 project was successful. Through the offered possibilities and contents of the project, many follow-up artistic projects have emerged, as well as long-term cooperation, or professional partnerships, which make an extraordinary contribution to the Academy of Arts. The project supported the overall space for the flexibility in education in specialized areas of artistic skills, contributing to increasing the qualifications of all participants.
