Key Action: Learning Mobility of Individuals
Action Type: School education staff mobility

After having conducted a survey, talking to our teachers and students and studying the European and Croatian documents on educational strategies as well as the examples of good practice, we have found it necessary to improve the following areas within our school: the quality of school management, ICT and language competences and the use of innovative teaching methods. We will introduce European dimension in our school and improve its visibility and image.
Improving the quality of the school management is one of the priorities of the European Development Plan for our school. Our objective is to make our school digital in terms of teaching and management. We also want to participate in the e-school project and launch a platform in Moodle system by the end of 2018. In order to achieve these objectives, it is necessary to improve strategic planning and evaluation of students and teachers' progress as well as the school infrastructure. With the introduction of innovative methods and by increasing ICT and language skills, our objective is to put students in the centre of learning, encouraging their critical thinking, creativity, innovation, collaboration and entrepreneurship thus rising students' motivation. Acquired knowledge, skills and competences as well as the results of the project will be presented at The Open Door Day, the Dissemination Platform with the Results of the Erasmus+ Projects, the school’s website, the local media and in the eTwinning group The 21st Century Classroom. This will increase school's visibility, improve its image and introduce the European dimension into our school. Networking with schools in EU will enable intercultural dialogue. Planned mobilities are in accordance with the development objectives of our school.
Eight teachers (a teacher of Croatian language, two English teachers, a teacher of German, a history teacher, a teacher of sociology, politics and economics, a math teacher and a teacher of economics) and the school pedagog are planning nine mobilities (structured courses).
After the approval of the mobilities and signing the contract with the national Agency of Mobility, the participants will confirm the participation in the course and arrange accommodation and transport. The cultural and linguistic preparation will be conducted. The project coordinator will regularly keep the records of planned and realized mobilities, dissemination, writing reports and costs. Ongoing evaluation will be conducted in the form of surveys, video and photo notes and interviews with mobility participants. Upon returning from mobilities, participants will organize lectures and workshops in the school as well as at the County Teachers Council meetings. They will also present the project to the media.
The first step of the Erasmus+KA1 project was informing school staff about the project on the staff meeting. The principal formed the Team for Developing Project Proposal Erasmus+KA1, who developed the school's European Development Plan. The project coordinator sent an email to all the employees with the instructions on how to apply for participation in KA1. Interested employees found suitable mobilities and wrote a letter of motivation. After having read the letters and conducted the interviews in English, the team chose mobility participants. The project coordinator and the team members filled in the application form. The communication between all mobility participants, the school and the course organizers will be conducted by email, WhatsApp, Viber, Messenger and Skype. After returning from the mobilities, the participants will improve the quality of their teaching and disseminate the acquired knowledge, skills and competences in their school and at the County Teachers Councils through four lectures and eleven workshops (the use of ICT and innovative teaching methods - flipped learning, project based learning, collaborative and blended learning and entrepreneurship). Students will take part in various competitions (LiDraNo, film and radio contests ...), which will be a form of recognition of their work. Teachers will receive certificates from the course organizers, the principal as well as from the County Teachers Councils.
The long-term impact of the project on the school and school staff will be manifested with the inclusion of the acquired knowledge in the school curriculum in order to improve the quality of our educational programs. Upon completion of the mobilities we will start a new international eTwinning project with partners found on mobilities. A part of the school's strategic plan is participating in strategic partnerships in Erasmus+ and intense online communication with the public. Taking part in mobilities in different parts of Europe and cooperating with colleagues from European countries will introduce the European dimension into our school. School becomes an e-schools.
