30,000 Erasmus+ participants learning languages with Online Linguistic Support

Erasmus+ Online Linguistic Support (OLS) is the new online tool for learning languages on-the-go.

Vincent, a student in chemistry from France currently in Scotland with Erasmus+, was the 30,000th participant to sign up for the OLS.

On 11 February, Erasmus+ held its Sport Info Day in Brussels for stakeholders and organisations involved in European sport. The event attracted over 600 participants from 38 countries and provided practical advice for the submission of proposals for sporting projects as well as opportunities for networking.

Erasmus+ Master Loan Guarantee Scheme – EIF calls on banks

New to Erasmus+ in 2015 is the Erasmus+ Master Loans Guarantee Scheme, initiated by the European Commission in cooperation with the European Investment Fund (EIF). As part of the implementation of this scheme on 13 February, the EIF launched a 'call for expression of interest' inviting banks to sign up to the new Erasmus+ Master Loans Guarantee Scheme.

Online Linguistic Support - Update

Update concerning on-line linguistic support under the Erasmus+ programme. The European Commission plans to introduce the on-line linguistic support for English, French, German, Italian and Spanish as of 1st October 2014 at the earliest.

The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia joins Erasmus+

On 4 June 2014, the Commission received the written notification from the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia providing for the entry into force of the Erasmus+ agreement establishing the country's participation in the new education, training, youth and sport programme.
