As from the second Erasmus+ call (planned publication: September 2014), student and staff mobility in higher education will be possible not only within Europe, but also with partner countries from the rest of the world.

On 04/07/2014 the European Commission launched an open call for tenders to establish a network of experts on the social dimension of education and training.
On 19 June 2014, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro respectively signed an Agreement establishing their partial participation in 'Erasmus+': the Union programme for education, training, youth and sport (2014-2020).
The Republic of Turkey officially informed the European Commission that its internal legal requirements for the entry into force of the Erasmus+ Agreement had been fulfilled, in accordance with Article 5 of the said Agreement.
Due to a number of technical difficulties some National Agencies may not be in a position to sign grant agreements before the starting dates for the respective Key Actions.
Update concerning on-line linguistic support under the Erasmus+ programme. The European Commission plans to introduce the on-line linguistic support for English, French, German, Italian and Spanish as of 1st October 2014 at the earliest.
On 4 June 2014, the Commission received the written notification from the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia providing for the entry into force of the Erasmus+ agreement establishing the country's participation in the new education, training, youth and sport programme.
