eTwinning is celebrating 500,000 registered users since its launch in 2005.

eTwinning is the community for teachers and schools in Europe.

It offers a  free and safe platform, where teachers can:

  • run collaborative projects with their colleagues and respective classes
  • engage in professional development activities, both online and on site
  • network with peers and share pedagogical practices

Teachers can also receive formal recognition for their work, in particular through National and European Quality Labels and Prizes.

eTwinning is an integral part of Erasmus+ benefiting from a budget of €13 million per year.

The eTwinning budget does not finance specific projects, but the European and national support services needed to set up and operate the projects and other activities.
