Today in Amsterdam, Günther H. Oettinger, Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Society outlined the Commission’s plan to launch a €1 billion flagship initiative on quantum technology.

European Strategy for quantum technology endorsed by 3400 key players
During the opening of the Quantum Europe 2016 conference in Amsterdam, a ‘Quantum Manifesto’ was presented to the Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs Henk Kamp and European Commissioner of Digital Economy and Society Günther H. Oettinger. This manifesto is an initiative of Kamp and Oettinger. It contains the European strategy for development of quantum technology to create revolutionary new ict-applications and new industry.
