Supporting sustainable growth in coastal tourism (19 May, 16.00-18.00)

The attractiveness and success of tourism growth in coastal areas and islands relies heavily on sustainable development. Coastal regions are essential in ensuring that Europe remains the most visited inbound tourist destination.

The objective of this workshop is to examine recent initiatives aimed at highlighting the sustainability of coastal tourism in Europe, whilst exploring how research, networking initiatives and the diversification of tourism products and services can contribute to the competitiveness of coastal and island destinations.
