Innovation in extracting industries, deep sea mining and offshore oil and gas, can contribute to a better knowledge of the marine environment and to a sustainable marine growth.

Autonomous and intelligent systems from satellite imaging (geo-referenced) to ROVs (Remote Operating Vehicles) are used more and more for environmental monitoring and supporting activities. The workshop will analyse opportunities and challenges by considering existing technologies, knowledge and experience.
