What is the Stakeholder Day?
On the second day of the conference, 22 May, the conference premises will be given to stakeholders to organise their own events. For details and information how to submit an event proposal, read the Letter to Stakeholders.

How will the selection process for the stakeholders' events look like?
The process will follow the criteria set in the Letter to Stakeholders.

When will I know if I can hold a workshop?
Deadline for submitting a workshop proposal is on the 15th of January. We will inform you at the latest on the 27th of February, if your application was accepted. We might contact you for clarifications, or to propose to merge similar workshop proposals.

How do the workshops rooms look like, what will be provided?
The rooms vary in size and shape. The largest room has 1000 seats and the smallest 70 seats. There are seven rooms available and most of them have 70-100 seats. The rooms will be supplied with: a projector, laptop, wireless microphones.

When and how can I register?
The registration will open in February 2012 on the European Maritime Day site.
 
If I register, am I sure to get accepted?
Yes. However, we may close the registration earlier if we have too many applications.

What if I didn't register before the conference, can I do it on the spot?
Yes, provided there are places.

Where will the exhibition be located?
The exhibition will be held close to the conference rooms and coffee/ lunch area. The exhibition will be placed in an extension built to the south part of the venue towards the harbour with a terrace on the outside.

How will the selection process for the exhibition look like?
The venue has the capacity of 15 -20 exhibitors. To select the exhibitors' the three criteria will be used.  See the application form for details. If there is high demand, it may be possible to merge similar proposals. The selection process will be managed by the Swedish hosts together with the Commission.

When will I receive an answer, if I can exhibit?
Last date for application is the 15th of February. We will inform you on 15 March the latest, if your application was successful. The contracts with exhibitors will be signed before the end of March.

What will the weather be like in May?
It will be spring in Sweden with a temperature of 10-14 degrees Celsius. The venue is close to the river and the ocean so a bit of wind can be expected.  Swedish weather forecasts are available on the website of the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute
