New Integrated maritime policy initiatives

The European Commission presented on 15 October 2009 three documents on an Integrated Maritime Policy:

European Maritime Day 2010 - first announcement

European Maritime Day - 20 MayCall for events
The European Commission invites all interested parities to hold their own European Maritime Day events either alongside the main conference in Gijon or elsewhere in Europe.

3rd European Maritime Day Stakeholder Conference
The keystone European Maritime Day event will be hosted in 2010 by Spain and the Asturias Region. It will be held in Gijon from 19 to 21 May, 2010.

Consultation on EMODNET – building a European marine data infrastructure

The objective of the consultation is to assess stakeholder opinion on the current state of Europe's marine knowledge infrastructure and how the EU could act collectively to improve it.
