The Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development has published a new call for proposals concerning the "Support for information measures relating to the common agricultural policy". A total amount of 3,250,000€ is available to support information campaigns on the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) covering actions such as production and distribution of innovative and original multimedia and/or audiovisual material, public poster campaigns, media events, broad public conferences and seminars to be carried out between 01/03/2012 and 31/12/2012.

    ‘Support for information measures relating to the common agricultural policy’
    Implementation of information measures under budget heading 05 08 06 for 2012

    The amount per action must fall between 100,000€ and 500,000€ and can be co-financed up to 50%, while information measures of exceptional interest may be co-financed up to 75% of the eligible costs.

    2012 will mark the Common Agricultural Policy's 50th anniversary. In light of this, the Commission will give priority to information campaigns that highlight the 50th anniversary of the CAP and that are targeted and likely to have an impact on the whole of society. The measures must also highlight the role the CAP plays as a joint EU policy that responds to society's changing needs and expectations.
