The European Language Label award encourages new initiatives in the field of teaching and learning languages, rewarding new methodologies in language teaching, spreading the knowledge of their existence and thereby promoting good practice.
The 2012 selection of Italian projects awarded 12 Labels in the field of educationand 7 in the vocational education and training area to different types of institutions and organizations working on a variety of topics: intergenerational learning, multilingual classes, sectorial languages such as Italian for business and medicine, or for specific target groups such as hearing or visually impaired persons.
All the winning projects share a common feature: the introduction of innovative methods and the coverage of sectors lacking in teaching and learning materials.
The Label Day will be an opportunity to reflect on linguistic competences and multilingualism.
