Four students from Ukraine are working on a project called “Enable Talk” which is meant to recognize sign language and to transform it into a form of verbal communication.
Four young Ukrainian programmers have conceived a system that might help people with hearing and speech disabilities. The project consists of a hardware part, a virtual reality glove with sensors, and software which receives the information input from the glove sensors and transforms it into a sound wave.
For the future the idea is to implement a cell-phone conversation using this system.
