Tools, portals, & partners
A selection of tools and best practices in language learning within the new Erasmus+ programme is the focus of an e-learning conference on 23 September in Brussels.
AEF-Europe, the National Agency for French-speaking Belgium, together with its partners the Ministry of Education (Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles), Forem and Bruxelles-Formation, are organising the conference.
The knowledge of foreign languages is considered a key factor to mobility not only in Europe but also in the rest of the world. It is also of paramount importance to find employment in one’s own country.
E-learning makes language learning available to anybody, anywhere, any time as long as you have an Internet connection.
Two Belgian on-line projects will be presented, both having been awarded the European Language Label:
• “Wilkommen in Graphoville”, an interactive tool to practice French, English and German
• "HopiTAAL", an e-tool for hospital staff to practice their French, Dutch or English in order to optimise contacts with patients.
A special attention will also be given to three actions run by BIJ (Bureau International Jeunesse) that enable young people to learn and practice languages while volunteering abroad or in another Belgian community.
