The total budget envisaged for the year 2010 is € 85.88 M. The publication of the Calls for Proposals is envisaged in December 2009. NEW [30/06/2009]: The Commission has finalised evaluation of proposals submitted for the first deadline of the call for proposals ACTION GRANTS 2009. Applicants are invited to submit proposals for the second round of the call with the deadline 31/07/2009. The budget available is 22.965.807€. Applicants are requested to use the updated forms when submitting proposals. NEW [19/01/2009]: Results ISEC 2007 [22/12/2008] Corrigendum: Amended text of the 2009 call for proposals restricted to framework partners. A new version of the 2009 call for proposals restricted to framework partners has been published. The only change in comparison to the old version is an addition of the following priority: Activities aiming at joint studies of anti-corruption practitioners of the EU as well as of practitioners of relevant authorities in countries of the Western Balkans and the New European Neighbourhood using an interdisciplinary approach for knowledge transfer, especially from science to practice, in the field of anti-corruption. The total budget envisaged for the year 2008 is 50,9 M Eur. The implementation of the annual work programme:A call for proposals restricted to framework partners
The three deadlines of this call should be regarded as three separate calls for proposals. The Commission is planning to adopt three separate award decisions. Therefore the award of grants for proposals submitted for the second and the third deadline is subject to the availability of funds. Projects listed on the reserve list can be awarded with a grant no sooner than the adoption of the award decision for proposals submitted for the third deadline. On 05/03/2008 a call for proposals for operating grants for non-governmental organisations Under the annual work programme 2008 a call for proposals for action grants 20/05/2008: The Guide of the program is now also available under the Call for proposals "Action grants" 2008. 11/06/2008: Call for Action Grants 2008 Prevention of and Fight against Crime. The amount of co-financing provided by other sources/organisations than the applicant or the partners shall be entered on the worksheet "Heading R: Financial contribution from applicant and project partners" as the worksheet "Heading S: Contributions from other organisations" was published fill-in protected. The distinction should be clearly identifiable: please enter under the column "Who?" the "name" of the donor organisation and indcate in the "Explanation" column "other source" (EXAMPLE Annual work programme 2007 The annual work programme The total budget envisaged for the year 2007 was 44,656 M Eur. The implementation of the annual work programme: A call for framework partners The purpose of framework partnerships is to establish long term cooperation with competent public bodies, including law enforcement agencies, responsible Ministries and national statistical bodies. As a result of the above call a number of 103 public bodies with relevant competencies were offered to conclude a framework partnership with the European Commission in one or more of the following areas of activities:
Framework partnerships will run for a period of up to 4 years (2007-2011), during which the partners will have the possibility to undertake projects funded by EU grants under procedures to be specified in the annual work programme adopted for the year concerned. The signature of a framework partnership agreement does not give rise to any obligation on the Commission to award a grant and shall be without prejudice to the beneficiary's right to apply also for grants available through 'classic' calls for proposals. The Commission does not envisage publishing another call for proposals for framework partnerships in 2008. However, if relevant needs are identified, it is not excluded that the Commission would prepare another call in the following years. Interested public bodies who are not yet a framework partner may already inform the European Commission about their intention to become a framework partner. II) General contextOn 12 February 2007, the Council of the European Union adopted the specific programme "Prevention of and Fight against Crime" for the period 2007-2013 with a budget amounting to ca. 600 million €. Together with the programme "Criminal Justice", this programme replaces the former AGIS programme. The new programme provides financial support to activities under Title VI of the Treaty on European Union regarding all types of crime (in particular terrorism, trafficking in persons and offences against children, illicit drug trafficking and illicit arms trafficking, corruption and fraud). The specific programme "Prevention of and Fight against Crime" consists of the following themes:
To implement the specific programme, the Commission adopts a work programme annually that further specifies the funding conditions such as the maximum rate of co-financing of the costs of the projects, eligibility, exclusion, selection, and award criteria and other conditions related to the management of the funds that year.
