Since the Daphne II Programme (2004-2006), the Commission has organised annual conferences to start up the projects selected that year. The Commission’s aim with these conferences is on the one hand to meet with the new Daphne projects and give project coordinators technical, administrative and practical information and instructions for the management of their projects. On the other hand, these events also give project coordinators the opportunity to meet people involved in other projects and the Daphne team and share and exchange ideas, good practices and also discuss problems encountered and possible solutions in the field of violence.
The conference reports published here contain information that is useful when managing a Daphne project. They also present the thematic workshops on violence-related issues that were included in the programmes at the conferences for the 2004 and 2005 projects.
