SAY NO! STOP VIOLENCE

AGAINST WOMEN

As part of its NON.NO.NEIN. Say No! Stop Violence against Women campaign, the European Commission in cooperation with Edcom is launching a competition inviting young professionals and students in creative schools to pitch a concept for an awareness raising video to be used on social media.

THE TASK

Violence against women is a form of abuse that takes place at all levels of society and in all EU countries. Often, people in the vicinity remain inactive. Targeting these bystanders, the short video should raise awareness of violence against women and encourage people to speak out against it. The production language is English.

PRIZE

The winning entry will be awarded a trip to Brussels (flights and subsistence costs included for up to 4 persons). They will be invited to meet the European Commission team working on gender equality to discuss the project, visit the EU institutions and get a taste of the great cultural scene in the city (details to be confirmed). The prize cannot be exchanged for a financial compensation.

TIMING

Launch of competition: 13 November 2017

Deadline for submissions: 10 February 2018, 12h00 Central European Time

Winners announced: 8 March 2018
