European Day of Civil Justice 2011
On the initiative of the Council of Europe and the European Commission, the European Day of Civil Justice is celebrated every year on 25 October. Judicial institutions of the Member States are invited to actively participate in the celebration of this day, by organising events for a wide public (in particular youth) and judicial professionals. Information is available on the CEPEJ website: www.coe.int/cepej where programmes of the various events will be published.
The main event of the day, with the participation of representatives of the Council of Europe and the European Commission, will be held on 25 October 2011, at the Court of First Instance of Toulouse (France).
Prior to this European Day, the Court of Toulouse, in association with the National Ministry of Education, will also organise, on 5 October 2011, a day dedicated in particular to youth and centred around the "perception of civil proceedings". To close these events, a symposium will be held on 7 November 2011 in Toulouse, dedicated to "alternative paths to institutional civil justice".
