Forum on future of gender equality

Projections estimate that, at the current rate of change, it will take almost 30 years to reach the EU’s target of 75% of women in employment, over 70 years to make equal pay a reality, over 20 years to achieve gender balance on the boards of Europe’s largest publicly listed companies and almost 40 years to ensure that housework is equally shared between women and men.

To find out how we can achieve a gender equal society faster and more effectively, the European Commission's Directorate-General Justice, under the auspices of Ms VÄ›ra Jourová, Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality, has organised a high-level hearing on the future of gender equality on Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 April 2015 in Brussels, Belgium.

Please find here the pictures of the event.
