Event language

DAY 1: Participants can speak in and listen to the following languages on Day 1:
FRENCH-GERMAN-ENGLISH-ITALIAN-SPANISH-POLISH.

 

DAY2: In principle there will be NO interpretation during the workshops, and participants should be able to take part actively in the workshops in ENGLISH.

 

Interpretation will only be provided during the plenary sessions before and after the workshops.

7th European Forum on the Rights of the Child

Supporting child protection systems through the implementation of the EU Agenda on the rights of the child

Brussels 13-14 November 2012

What is the event about?

The European Forum on the rights of the child is an annual conference organised by the European Commission which gathers key actors from European Institutions, EU Member States, Ombudspersons for children, international organisations and NGOs to exchange ideas and best practices on topical issues related to children's rights.

The 7th European Forum on the rights of the child will focus on supporting child protection systems through the implementation of the EU Agenda on the rights of the child.

The forum will run over 1.5 days, starting with high-level speeches in the afternoon of 13 November at the Commission headquarters and with more targeted workshops and plenary sessions on 14 November.

Five workshops will be held in parallel. Participants will only be able to participate in one of them, and should indicate their preferences (1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice, 4th choice, 5th choice) at the time of registration. For details on these workshops, please refer to the background papers and agenda for the conference.

All participants were required to register through this website by 26 October 2012 12:00 at the latest.

Validated applicants were contacted by a travel agency acting on behalf of the European Commission to confirm their registration and prepare travel and accommodation arrangements.

Travel and accommodation expenses are to be covered by the European Commission under the conditions specified in the travel information section.
