First Roma summit

Roma Summits bring together representatives of EU institutions, national governments and civil society organisation. The first Summit promoted a firm commitment to tackling problems and creating a better understanding of the Roma across Europe.

High level event: Shaping the future of equality policies in the EU - Rome, Italy

The High level event Choose translations of the previous link  is co-organised once a year by the EU-country which holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of the year and the European Commission since 2007. It aims to promote equal rights and equal opportunities for all in the EU, and to share knowledge and experiences in order to develop policies and more effective ways of counteracting all forms of discrimination, particularly on the grounds of racial or ethnic origin, religion and belief, age, disability, sexual orientation and sex.
