"For Diversity. Against Discrimination" is a high profile, EU-wide information campaign, which was launched by the Commission in June 2003.
"For Diversity. Against Discrimination"
The aims of the campaign were:
- to raise awareness of the existing anti-discrimination legislation and of discrimination in general; and
- to promote the benefits of diversity.
These aims are still relevant today, with recent surveys showing that much remains to be done if we are to eliminate discrimination completely in the EU. The campaign worked to meet these challenges, and through informing citizens of their rights and responsibilities, empower those suffering from unfairtreatment to take action.
Through over ten years of EU wide activities, the "For Diversity. Against Discrimination " campaign gained visibility at both national and European level.
Posters on all discrimination grounds, produced during the 2012 advertising campaign, can be ordered from the EU-bookshop.
