REC programme

The European Commission supports EU countries and civil society in combatting discrimination through the Rights, Equality and Citizenship (REC) programme 2014-2020:

  • An annual call for proposals 'Support to national activities aiming at combatting discrimination and promoting equality' allows national authorities in charge of equality and non-discrimination to implement antidiscrimination projects for different target groups, including age.
  • The Commission supports financially civil society organisations who are promoting the rights of persons related to age like AGE Platform Europe.

The type of actions to be funded, the thematic priorities and budget available are indicated yearly in the work programme that can be downloaded at the REC website.
