European Judicial Network
A European Judicial Network
A European Judicial Network for civil and commercial matters was created to:
- facilitate judicial cooperation between EU countries;
- provide information to the public to facilitate their access to national judicial systems.
The aim of the European Judicial Network is also to implement and update, step-by-step, an online information system directed at EU citizens.
In every EU country, one or more contact points are available for judicial and administrative authorities to:
- resolve cross-border issues with which they are confronted;
- provide them with full and updated information on the law of the other EU country concerned.
Since 1 January 2011, legal professions have also been part of the European Judicial Network in civil and commercial matters.
