Programmes

The Commission provides funding in the form of grants to projects or organisations which help implement EU policies. Grants are provided in the field of drug control policy under the funding programmes listed below. Interested parties can apply by submitting an application for the calls for proposals published under the relevant programme.

Drug Prevention and Information Programme-DPIP

This Programme is the only EU programme which is solely dedicated to funding projects on illicit drugs.The Programme provides financial support for projects which aim to exchange and transfer best practice across the EU to improve the quality of prevention and treatment services, to reduce drug-related health damage and to prevent drug use.

Health Programme

This programme funds a wide range of actions in the field of healthcare and health information to foster the exchange of knowledge and best practice on health issues.

It provides financial support for actions on tobacco, alcohol, illegal drugs and medicines to promote and improve physical and mental health, creating healthy lifestyles and preventing disease.

7th Framework Programme on Research and Technological Development (2007-2013)

The FP7 programme provides funding for cross-border research projects to complement national research programmes.
