© European Commission

The SSEDIC, a EU-supported research group that advises the European Commission in defining its policy on Electronic identity has just published an extensive survey on eIDs.  The survey analyses the extent to which different kinds of eIDs are used in daily life. The survey is available for completion until 30 November.

A summary of the results will be made public at the webiste of the SSEDIC

Also the ISA programme is supporting actions in the field of eID and eSignatures:

The ISA action “TSL and eSignature creation/verification” aims at the development of open source tools that ensure cross-border interoperability of e-signatures and allow for their automated creation and verification based on trusted lists.

The ECAS-STORK integration enables officials from the Member States to access the European Commission information systems and corporate applications by using their national eID credentials, through the  STORK federation of electronic identities.
