Open Source Data Center Conference 2013

Venue: Nuremberg, Germany
From 17/04/2013 to 18/04/2013

The Open Source Data Center Conference (OSCD) is an annual conference on the application of open source software in data centres and huge IT environments. This year, the conference takes place in the city centre of Nuremberg, Germany.

This two-day and bilingual conference will focus on Agile Infrastructures. The more than twenty presentations, demos and hands-on workshops are divided over three themes: 'Cloud & Big Data', 'DevOps and Methods' and 'Infrastructure Services'. Presentations include a talk about the migration of some 2000 MySQL databases, a demonstration of how to grow a Couchbase Server cluster, and a discussion on how to operate a data centre some 500 km away.

For a better exchange of experiences between the participants and to socialize with open source community, most of the participants are accommodated at the conference hotel. This increases the opportunities for attendees for discussions around open source data centre solutions.
