We're here to keep you informed about how the European Union affects you.

My team and I are on hand to answer questions about how the EU works, how it can help you or how we can better listen to your views.

To ask questions or give us feedback, simply drop into our Information Centre at 18 Dawson Street in Dublin, email us at eu-ie-info-request@ec.europa.eu, call us on 01-634 1111 or fax us on 01-634 1112. There are also EU information points around the country who can help you with queries. Find out more about them here.

We run a range of events here at the Representation and in partnership with other organisations. Click here to see what's coming up soon and to access podcasts, presentations and speeches from past events ─ and please don't hesitate to contact us if you need a speaker for an event!

I hope that we can serve you via this website or in person.

Eurovision 2007 – Irish Entry Available for Download

The annual Eurovision song contest will take place in Helsinki on May 10th and 12th. This year, for the first time ever, the Irish entry – Dervish’s “They can’t stop the spring” – is available for free download at www.rte.ie/eurovision.

This year, the European Year of Equal Opportunities for All has teamed up with the Eurovision as its official partner. During the Eurovision Week, taking place in the centre of Helsinki from 5-12 May, the European Year campaign will promote its messages from a pavilion at the Eurovision village. The stand will provide visitors with information on equality and diversity and host a series of entertainment activities. Dervish is one of the groups that will be performing live and giving interviews at the Pavilion as part of the diversity campaign’s partnership with the song contest. The European Year will also pass on its message to the 2,000 journalists expected to attend the event via a promotional stand in the Eurovision press room.

The song will be available for download until Monday 14th of May. For more information on the European Year of Equal Opportunities for All, see here.
