Horizon 2020  - the new European instrument for research and innovation funding. It is designed to help deliver jobs, prosperity and a better quality of life and will run from 2014 to 2020.

Innovation Union - Innovation is at the heart of the Europe 2020 strategy for growth and jobs. With over thirty action points, the Innovation Union aims to improve conditions and access to finance for research and innovation in Europe, to ensure that innovative ideas can be turned into products and services that create growth and jobs.

EU Research Portal  - This site is designed to help people find out about European Research. It contains information on the latest political decisions, and the latest advances in research. It also includes a set of online leaflets about European Research in Action, written for the non-specialist.

European Research Area (ERA) - The European Research Area is composed of all research and development activities, programmes and policies in Europe which involve a transnational perspective.  The aim is to give researchers, research institutions and businesses access to a Europe-wide open space for knowledge and technologies in which transnational synergies and complementarities are fully exploited.

Joint Research Centre - The Joint Research Centre is the scientific and technical arm of the European Commission. It provides the scientific advice and technical know-how to support a wide range of EU policies.

European Research Council  - The European Research Council's aim is to encourage the highest quality research in Europe through competitive funding and to support investigator-initiated frontier research across all fields of research, on the basis of scientific excellence.
