Wednesday 3 to Friday 5 June: European Research Project Meetings, EU House, Dublin

From Wednesday 3 to Friday 5 June, the European Commission Representation in Ireland will host a meeting of the COBACORE project (COmmunity BAsed Comprehensive Recovery)

COBACORE is a collaborative research project funded by the European Commission involving Dutch, UK, German, Irish, Spanish and Slovakian partners. COBACORE seeks to close the collaboration gaps between stakeholders involved in post-crisis recovery. COBACORE also aims to improve the matching of needs with capacities, through building upon the community as an important source of information and capabilities. The COBACORE suite of tools, which are designed to complement existing practices and tools, will support common needs assessments efforts, damage recovery needs, economic needs, health and social needs, and other critical humanitarian needs. The COBACORE assets will stimulate community-wide involvement in information gathering, sense-making, and needs assessment practices.

The project has received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement no 313308.

Tuesday 16 June: Joint information event on EU supports for youth arts, EU House, Dublin 2

On Tuesday 16 June, Creative Europe Desk (CED) Ireland Culture Office and Léargas will host a joint information event for arts organisations and individuals working in the area of youth arts.

The event will focus on the EU’s Creative Europe Culture sub-programme and the Erasmus+ programme (focusing on Youth and Adult Education sectors).  An overview of each programme will be given along with details of how to apply.  We will have speakers who are representatives of arts organisations presenting their experience of applying for and carrying out activities under each of the programmes.

This is an excellent opportunity to explore international opportunities for yourself, the artists and practitioners you work with and importantly the young people taking part in your activities.

The event will take place in EU House, 18 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, starting at 10 a.m.
