European Studies is not taught as a standalone subject but the European
Union is featured in the secondary school curriculum, at junior level within a
subject known as CSPE (Civic, Social and Political Education), in Transition
Year (as part of Civic, Social and Political Studies) and at senior cycle (as
an element of the Leaving Cert History syllabus and Business syllabus)
