Quality assurance in plan phase
The chances of success for any site development project are greatly enhanced if it starts on a good basis. Establishment of a clear Project definition and good-quality planning are an important part of this.
The QA activities of this phase are focused on verifications of the use of proper Project Management procedures and actions, and definition and verifications of the outputs, and as such are rather project specific.
Proper project management of any site development project will include mandatory execution of the following steps, and verification of the results of each step:
- Define the resources to be used on the project, including the team, the budget allocated, etc.
- Define and agree to a plan (mission statement, objectives, scope, timetable)
- Identify and understand the intended public for the web site in question
