Annual implementation review

The European Commission has published the second edition of the Annual Public Procurement Implementation Reviewpdf Choose translations of the previous link  presenting developments in the application of public procurement rules across the EU, based on information collected for 2011. The Review shows the economic significance of the European public procurement market and provides an update on national structures responsible for applying procurement law and on the implementation of e-procurement. It also includes information about the application of public procurement law at EU and national level and provides an overview of the initial phase of the application of the Defence Procurement Directive, the transposition of which is now complete in all the Member States.

The sources of information for the Review include data obtained from the Member States and data collected by Commission departments from the available databases.

The Commission adopted its first Annual Public Procurement Implementation Reviewpdf(361 KB) Choose translations of the previous link  on 09.10.2012.  The Review, based on valuable contributions from the Member States as well as research by the Commission services, takes stock of the current state of play of the implementation of the European procurement acquis in the EU.  It is anticipated that the Annual Review will become a valuable knowledge sharing tool for the Member States, stakeholders and the European Institutions.
