The Specific e-service

The Internal Market Mailbox service, operated under the responsibility of the Controller Mr Anthony Dempsey, allows you to send a request for information or your comments about our web site.

What personal information do we collect, for what purpose and through which technical means?

Identification Data

The following personal data is collected: name*, e-mail address, organisation or company name, private or office address (street, postal code, city, country*), subject* of your question or comment.

This data serves to process in order to reply (by e-mail or by post) to your information request.

Technical information

When using our Mailbox Service forms, the information relating to your personal profile and your request are sent to our mailbox by the EUROPA server. These forms do not contain any cookie, nor any IP address from your personal computer.

Who has access to your information and to whom is it disclosed?

The Information Officer for the Internal Market Directorate General  has access to your data. If your request is too specific, needs further work or does not fall within the remit of our Directorate General, it could be forwarded to another Unit of our Directorate General or to a contact mailbox from another Directorate General.

The data is not shared with third parties for direct marketing purposes.

How do we protect and safeguard your information?

The data collected in our mailbox is not accessible by anyone outside the Commission. Inside the Commission the data  can be accessed by designated Commission officials using a userID and a password.

How can you verify, modify or delete your information?

You have no direct access to data stored in the server. If you wish to modify or delete your data, please send a message to the contact point Markt-Info@ec.europa.eu

How long do we keep your data?

All data received is stored in our server for a maximum of one year and erased annually.
