Cada Estado miembro
ha nombrado un coordinador nacional IMI (NIMIC). La
función del NIMIC
es supervisar la implantación general del sistema y
su buen funcionamiento a nivel nacional. Se encarga
de identificar a las autoridades competentes, registrarlas
en el sistema y proporcionarles la formación necesaria.
A efectos de la cooperación administrativa que prevé la Directiva de servicios (Directiva 2006/123/CE), los Estados miembros también han designado uno o más "puntos de contacto ". Se puede recurrir a los “puntos de contacto” para recibir asistencia en caso de dificultad (por ejemplo, para determinar a qué autoridad competente es preciso dirigirse).
La Comisión Europea también ha creado
un servicio de ayuda (Helpdesk IMI). Cuando el NIMIC
no pueda resolver un problema directamente, podrá ponerse
en contacto con el servicio de ayuda por correo electrónico:
