24.11.2011: 2^nd Plenary meeting of ERGP

ERGP held its second plenary meeting on 24 November 2011 in Paris under the chairmanship of Joëlle Toledano, ARCEP Executive board member.

Members considered and adopted two documents for publication and three documents, which will be subject to public consultation in the following weeks.

Furthermore, Göran Marby, Director General of the Swedish regulator (PTS) will take over as ERGP Chair from Joëlle Toledano in 2012. Given that Joëlle Toledano’s term of office with ARCEP has come to an end, Marie-Laure Denis, ARCEP Executive Board member, will become Vice-Chair in her stead. Luc Hindryckx, Chairman of Belgium’s regulatory authority (BIPT), will chair the ERGP in 2013 and act as its Vice-Chair in 2012.

01.12.2010: Inaugural Meeting

The European Regulators Group for Post (ERGP) held its first meeting on 1 December 2010 following its establishment on 10 August 2010 by the European Commission.

At the inaugural meeting Joëlle Toledano, commissioner at ARCEP, the French postal and telecom regulator, was elected as the Chair of ERGP for 2011, while Tim Brown, Chief Executive at Postcomm, the UK postal regulator, and Göran Marby, Director General of the Swedish regulator PTS, were elected Vice-Chairs for 2011.

Regulators at the inauguration meeting considered and adopted two essential documents which set out how the ERGP will function:

1. Rules of Procedure , and
2. Work Programme for 2011–2012 .
