Reports on Market for Telecoms Services in the Accession Countries:

DG Information Society has commissioned a series of four six-monthly reports on the market for telecommunications services in the 13 EU candidate countries. The contractor for this work is IBM (formerly PriceWaterhouseCoopers Consulting) and the concept of the reports is to be analogous to the Market Data Annex of the European Commission's Annual Report on the Implementation of the Regulatory Framework for Telecommunications.

The first three reports, dated 25 July 2002, 16 December 2002 and 16 June 2003 are published here and can be used freely by anyone provided that they are properly cited. For the third report, the reference dates for most of the data is either 31 January 2003 (for status indicators) or calendar year 2002 (for cumulative indicators). The next report will be available in December 2003. The reports are available in PDF format:

First report:   (291kb)

Second report:   (1075kb)

Third report: (1175kb)
