Opportunities for Pre-Commercial Procurement of Innovation: ICT Solutions for Health, Transport and Government
On 21, 22 and 28 June 2006, regional and local procurers and regional
representatives from different Member States participated in three thematic
workshops to explore the opportunities for pre-commercial procurement in ICTs
for health, transportation and government.
The group developed a list of promising application areas to be explored for
potential pilot projects. In addition, the drivers and hurdles for this
mechanism were discussed to guide future work on pre-commercial procurement.
