SEEMseed: Solutions for a Single European Electronic Market

The European Commission’s goal of establishing a Single European Electronic Market (SEEM) is being given a boost by a project that has brought together experts and stakeholders from across the continent and beyond to identify challenges and recommend solutions. The IST-funded SEEMseed initiative aims to create a virtual space where individuals and companies of any size can come together to do business without technological or linguistic restrictions.

V-CES : Online cost-engineering service to help SMEs build business

Cost estimates are fundamental to business decisions, and in many cases, cost has become a business driver.  The Virtual Cost Engineering Studio (V-CES) is a prototype set of online cost-engineering services that has been developed to help engineers understand and benefit from best estimating practice. V-CES has been developed for three key industry sectors: the automotive industry, semiconductor manufacturing and the aerospace sector.
