Actions in Member States
-
Member States had 18 months to transpose the Directive on the re-use of PSI (PDF file) into national law, i.e. until 1 July 2005.
-
The European Commission is monitoring the transposition process and provides, where necessary, support to officials in the Member States responsible for the transposition.
You can consult the transposition status on the Implementation of the PSI Directive page.
-
In the general framework of transposition of the provisions of the PSI Directive into national laws, many different public, private and public-private initiatives to stimulate the re-use of PSI have also taken place in the Member States - a valuable contribution to support PSI re-use.

* The Ministry of Informatics is dissolved from the 1st of June 2007. However the web page www.micr.cz of the Ministry of Informatics is not closing down, from now on it will be operated by the Ministry of the Interior. The Ministry of the Interior will also be in charge of the Public administration portal. The Ministry of the Interior is taking over the majority of tasks of the dissolved Ministry of Informatics. The Postal services and electronic communications will be transferred to the Ministry of Industry and Trade; the Ministry for Regional Development will be in charge of the electronic auctions. The web page www.micr.cz is adapted accordingly to these changes (This is a translation of the news item published on the Ministry of Informatics' Website).
