Following the
IPv6 action define in the Communication which was launched in May 2008, this
workshop was a great opportunity to get an overview of the deployment progress
of the IPv6 in Europe and plans for future actions, specially for public
authorities.

The objective of the workshop was to create a fruitful dialogue between stakeholders (which could be involved in pilots tackling public authorities organisations) on the status of the IPv6 migration in their countries, and to prepare a position paper designed for the member states to speed up the process of upgrading the infrastructure to IPv6.
