Information Society Newsroom Services :: Syndication
Set up your XML Newsfeed
Help is available below for filling out the form and
using the resulting Newsfeed.
Help on Filling in the Form
The form allows you to specify both what Newsroom content appears on your
site (Newsfeed Criteria), and how it appears (Newsfeed Type). Help on using
the Newsfeed created by the Form is covered below.
Newsfeed Type
There are two types of XML Newsfeeds
- CompactFeed: supplies just the short title of the newsroom items
and a link to the full item on this Portal's Newsroom, from where more
information is available;
- FullFeed: supplies the news items' short and full titles
(up to ?? characters), introductory paragraph, other information
('More Info', 'Contact Details', etc.) and the main link. In
most cases the main link will point to a page
outside the portal, as with most items published within
the Portal Newsroom itself (see
Help > Searching the Newsroom > What is Searched?).
Newsfeed Criteria
Using your XML Newsfeed
After clicking 'Submit' in the above form, you will be sent to the
'Edit Profile' page:
- the first part of this page ('Your XML Feed') will include
a ...??
- the rest of the page allows you to edit other aspects of your
registration profile on this Portal (e.g., subscribing to the email Newsroom
Update or journalist service, changing your personal details, etc.)
