This international event includes: •The RF-MST Cluster Meeting (July 1, 2013) co-organized with the European Commission, where the achievements of MEMS-related EU projects will be illustrated and discussed. •The MEMSWAVE Workshop (July 2-3, 2013) where invited and peer-reviewed papers will be presented to provide an international forum for scientists and industrialists for the exchange of information on the most recent advances and best achievements in the area of RF-MEMS, MSTs and RF-NEMS with emphasis on European achievements.
 
3 - 5 July 2013
FuNeMS2013, the 22nd Future Network and MobileSummit, will address the challenges of building the Future Internet Infrastructures, based on mobile, wireless and fixed broadband communications technologies, in the context of convergence and innovation. Scientific Papers are invited for online submission until 8 February 2013. The Call for Exhibitors will open in mid January with a deadline of 05 April 2013.
 
27 - 29 August 2013
Prof. Karlheinz Meier (R.Karl University of Heidelberg(DE))will talk about the EU "Human Brain Project" - Scientific Foundations and Plans. The Human Brain Project is one of the selected FET Flagships project funded by the EU.
 
10 - 13 September 2013
The conference will draw together researchers and developers from academia and industry across all fields of Internet computing and engineering. A call for papers has been launched (deadline: 1 February)
 
16 - 20 September 2013
The participants will receive an adult learning opportunity in the frame of lifelong learning. They will receive training with the focus on train-the-trainer method. The goal of the training is to implement the lessons learned afterwards in the organisation, so first line staff can benefit as well from the training. By offering new-technology based training and network opportunities, the training seeks to build a bridge between Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Person Centred and Assistive Technology (PCT/AT) on the one hand, and the social and health sector on the other hand. Special attention will go to the EU legal frameworks and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). The training should facilitate the transition towards optimal use of technology in care and social support provision.

The program of the Dem@Care Summer School on Ambient Assisted Living (DemAAL) is high-quality and interesting including both lectures and lab sessions. A balance is kept between ICT and clinical related speakers both from inside and outside the Dem@Care project (FP7).

The European Commission is organising a conference on e-procurement and e-invoicing, two key tools contributing to the rationalisation of public expenditure and modernisation of public services. High level European policy-makers, academics, business representatives, contracting authorities and companies already using e-procurement and e-invoicing will discuss the impact of e-procurement and e-invoicing on making public administration more efficient, and how to best manage the transition in order to avoid any new barriers and exploit the full potential of process digitalisation.
 
18 - 20 September 2013
The main theme of this edition is “Personal data and citizenship in the digital society”. The event includes a “Digital Futures Workshop” on the theme “The future of personal data and citizenship”, co-hosted by the Digital Enlightenment Forum and the Digital Futures Task Force of European Commission’s DG CONNECT.

12th European AAATE Conference
Vilamoura, Portugal
This event is organised by the Association for the Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe(AAATE). One of the main objectives of the AAATE2013 Conference is to bring together researchers, professionals, manufacturers, end users and their families, and combine their knowledge, expertise, needs and expectations. This will be achieved not only by the presentation of papers during the two and a half days of the conference, but also through the participation in "Instructional Courses" and in a "Research Symposium" held immediately after the main Conference.
