The European Commission has adopted a key investment package for the Italian maritime, fisheries and aquaculture sectors. The roughly 978m EUR available for the period 2014-2020 include more than 537m EUR from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund.

After Sweden (last March) and Finland (May), the Commission has adopted an Action Plan with Lithuania on 26 November to further improve the control of Baltic fisheries.

Advertising fish products from the EU in the rest of the world has never been easier. Beside the promotional measures contemplated by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund, new funds are being released to producer organisations, trade organisations and public bodies to sponsor their products and disseminate information abroad on the goodness of European fisheries products, both wild and farmed. Campaigns need to include at least another European food product, and products will feature the label: Enjoy, it's from Europe". Calls to be launched early in 2016.

Les accords de partenariat dans le domaine de la pêche durable (APPD) visent à créer un partenariat pour promouvoir la pêche durable, sur la base des meilleurs avis scientifiques disponibles. Dans ce contexte, il est nécessaire de mettre en place un comité scientifique conjoint d’experts scientifiques hautement qualifiés dans le cadre de l'APPD entre l’Union européenne et la Mauritanie afin de garantir que les mesures de gestion soient fondées sur les meilleurs avis scientifiques disponibles.

The European Commission has adopted a key investment package for the Spanish maritime, fisheries and aquaculture sectors. The roughly € 1.6 billion available under the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) for the period 2014-2020 include about € 1.2 billion of EU funding.
