Good practice exchange in Europe

(30/05/2007) This new service to the professional community of eHealth, eGovernment and eInclusion practitioners is expected to be an interactive initiative that empowers its users to discuss and influence open government, policy-making and the way public administrations operate and deliver services. ePractice.eu's mission is to create a dynamic community of practitioners, driven by a participative approach, which enables capacity building through proactive dissemination, exchange and assessment of good practice in eHealth, eGovernment and eInclusion.

It will be offering the most complete information and exchange opportunities for eGovernment, eInclusion and eHealth in Europe

Are you a civil servant at a local administration? Do you teach public policy at a university? Are you a project coordinator trying to pick up some good solutions from other successful international projects? Or are you just interested in discussing the way European eService is evolving?

Then log on to the epractice.eu portal and bookmark the site so you can become an active member in this brand new online community.

The newly launched site with full functionalities merges the Good Practice Framework with the eGovernment Observatory, and incorporates good practice from eInclusion, eHealth, and European eGovernment Awards.

ePractice.eu is a portal created by the European Commission which offers a new service for the professional community of eGovernment, eInclusion and eHealth practitioners. It is an interactive initiative that empowers its users to discuss and influence open government, policy-making and the way public administrations operate and deliver services.

The innovative exchange process of ePractice.eu includes on- and off-line activities for its members: Workshops will be held regularly on actual topics where participants will be able to discuss face to face the latest issues and cases on the most actual topics in eInclusion, eHealth and eGovernment.

ePractice.eu involves practitioners from all 27 Member States, EU-member candidate states and EFTA countries. Countries from all over the world are welcome to join in. The 50 most active practitioners on ePractice.eu between 1 June and 30 June will be invited to the Ministerial eGovernment Conference in September 2007, which will be held in Lisbon, during the Portuguese presidency.

ePractice.eu will be the platform to share good practices and news, meet peers, and learn from each other in a target community of 50,000 practitioners. It will contribute to growth and jobs in Europe. In particular, it will enhance efficiency and effectiveness in public service delivery. It will be offering the most complete information and exchange opportunities for eGovernment, eInclusion and eHealth in Europe.

epractice.eu goes beyond the creation of a simple case study database; it facilitates the exchange of advice, experiences, events and stories across Europe. Real life cases, insight and lessons learnt are key elements you might want to share with the community of eGovernment, eInclusion or eHealth practitioners.

If you have a case you want to share, you will be able to publish it on ePractice.eu starting the 1st of June on. Your case will gain visibility on the portal, and can influence administrations and institutions all over Europe and the world. As a portal community member you will be able to give input on published cases, express your opinion, rate and comment published cases. ePractice related websites:
