Audiovisual :: Project video: Digital simulation of a child's heart for surgery
22 May 2013
The EU funded Sim-e-Child project has developed a grid-enabled platform for large scale simulations in paediatric cardiology. This platform provides a collaborative environment for constructing and validating multi-scale and personalized models of a growing heart and vessels.
The Sim-e-Child project has recently been succesfully concluded. It has led to transatlantic cooperation with leading US institutions such as the American College of Cardiology, the Johns Hopkins University, and Siemens Corporate Research.
This video highlights the main achievements of the Sim-e-Child Project, an international cooperation STREP partially funded by the European Commission under the 7th Framework Programme.
