Major Cities of Europe - Annual Conference

This conference will bring together Chief Information Officers and ICT managers from local government as well as business leaders. The goal of the event is to find answers to today’s challenges regarding ICT in cities. Participants will showcase key implementations and ideas, share experiences, facilitate debate and exchange views through presentations, roundtables, one-to-one discussions and workshops.

imaGineFOF2020 - Factories of the Futures towards Horizon 2020

This event is organised as a cross-dissemination event of ongoing projects. It foremost addresses European companies interested in research in the domain of ICT for manufacturing under the aegis of the FP7 Public Private Partnership "Factories of the Future". One of the main objectives is to discuss emerging and novel “out-of-the-box” concepts and ideas for research, development and innovation. Innovation outcomes will be reviewed and future research agendas will be discussed.

International Conference on Policy Making 2.0

This conference will explore the emerging technologies and trends that are changing the way policy is made. Policy-making 2.0 refers to a blend of emerging and fast developing technologies that enable better, more timely and more participated decision-making in government. The aim of the conference is to cross-fertilize projects to support community building and to learn from each other. Over these two days many topics will be discussed including: open and big data, visual analytics, modelling and simulation, collaborative governance and crowdsourcing, serious gaming, and opinion mining. There will also be a chance to submit an application for the Policy 2.0 prize. It’s goal is to raise awareness and consolidate the community about a new set of tools to support policy making, such as open and big data, visualization, opinion mining, collaborative governance, modeling and simulation, serious gaming. The event is free and open to anyone with an interest in 21st century policy making.

SEMIC 2013 - Semantic Interoperability Conference 2013

21 June 2013 Dublin, Ireland

This event offers an opportunity to explore and discuss how Public Administrations can use semantic technologies to make information exchange more efficient and effective, allowing them to operate at lower costs and provide better services. The conference programme addresses topics such as: Basic data for public services; Open Standards for eGovernment; Data interoperability in the Cloud and on the World-Wide Web; Open Government Data and interoperability; Putting interoperability solutions in a regional or local context. It is organised by the ISA Programme of the European Commission. Attendance is free of charge but registration is required and places are limited.
