FET Open: projects from second cut-off date have started
The second cut-off in H2020 of the FET Open call, on 31 March 2015, resulted in so far 13 new projects receiving funding, ten of them for Research and Innovation Actions (RIA) and three for Coordination and Support Actions (CSA). Ten of these projects have already begun, the rest will start soon. So far, together with the projects of the first cut-off date, work on 35 FET Open projects is well under way.

Give your feedback on the Strategic Research Agenda of the European Technology Platform for High Performance Computing
The objective of the Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) is to outline a roadmap for the implementation of a research programme aiming at the development of European HPC technologies. The European Technology Platform for High Performance Computing (ETP4HPC) is seeking feedback on this document from the HPC community (until the end of June 2016). Comments received will be used by the ETP4HPC to prepare the next full version of its SRA, planned for July 2017.
The Starts Prize supports innovative projects at the interface of science, technology and art
The constant appropriation of new technologies by artists allows them to go further in actively participating in society. By using ICT as their medium of expression, artists are able to prototype solutions, create new products and make new economic, social and business models. The Starts Prize aims to honour projects that boost synergies between art, science and technological innovation.

FET Funding Opportunities
FET Proactive funding opportunities – first calls in 2016
In the FET Work Programme for 2016-2017, the FET Proactive call "Boosting emerging technologies" consists of 3 topics: "Emerging themes and communities"; "FET ERANET Cofund in Quantum Technologies" (both with a deadline in April 2016), and "FET ERANET Cofund" (deadline in January 2017). There is also a dedicated call for proposals on High Performance Computing (the first topic for this has a deadline in September 2016).
FET Open funding opportunities in 2016
FET Open continues to foster early-stage research for radically new technological possibilities. It supports promising novel ideas from all technological areas without prescribing any theme. Funding is available for Research and Innovation Actions as well as for Coordination and Support Actions. Two topics are currently open.
