After the Summer 2012 public consultation on the draft Code for Effective Open Voluntarism, a pilot “Community of Practice for Better Self- and Co-regulation” was set up, to respond to the need for constructive interactions between all interested stakeholders. This Community will convene for the first time on December 10 during its Inaugural Meeting, chaired by Robert Madelin, Director General of DG CONNECT, in presence of speakers from non-governmental, business, academic and policy-making worlds. This interactive meeting will notably feature three panel discussions aiming at taking stock of our shared knowledge base, mapping areas of current practices and discussing success and risk factors of self- and co-regulatory actions. The meeting is open to all stakeholders interested in experiencing, improving and promoting the “Principles for Better Self- and Co-regulation”, and is also addressed to experts interested in supporting the vision and bringing a contribution to this endeavour.
The detailed programme is now available. If you are interested in participating, please register here.
